Bethesda has made moves to compensate Fallout 76 players. However, it seems that many players are still not satisfied with Bethesda’s approach.
Less than two weeks after Fallout 76 launched, retailers have started slashing prices on Bethesda’s latest RPG, offering up to 42 percent off on Amazon. This did not satisfy some gamers when they bought the game at the original price. Bethesda agrees that compensation is the right thing to do. Recently, redditor IzaakGoldbaum said that Bethesda Customer Support has added “500 Atom” to its account.
Atom, the virtual currency in the game, increases players when completing in-game missions and can only be purchased with real money for $1 per 100 Atoms. The Atomic Store in the game then allows the player to purchase Atom decorations, including emotes as well as paints for the Power Armor.
However, the amount of Atoms that IzaakGoldbaum received was not automatically compensated for all players who activated their Fallout 76 accounts prior to the sale. This requires gamers to speak to Bethesda Customer Support for compensation.
In another reddit post, ZPKane said Bethesda still doesn’t know how to satisfy disgruntled Fallout 76 players. After submitting a claim for compensation to Customer Support, ZPKane received a message stating that he did not meet the requirements for compensation.
Bethesda is really in crisis in her game Fallout 76. The game is full of bugs, instability, and lots of major updates that have annoyed many players. This is reflected in the Metacritic review with a terrible low score, and reviewers say that Fallout 76 is considered the worst game in Bethesda history.
Free Atom can be a way to compensate players, but the vast majority feel that $5 really isn’t enough due to the $25 off the game.
Fallout 76 is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
