The gameplay trailer for Far Cry New Dawn shows gunplay and driving and the return of a familiar character.
Just a few months after Far Cry 5, Ubisoft announced the latest installment called Far Cry New Dawn at The Game Awards 2018. Along with this announcement is a trailer for the game introducing the post-apocalyptic Hope County setting 17 after the events of the year. The Far Cry 5 event is over. Now, fans will get a better look at the world of the new installment in this six-minute gameplay video, which includes a rather familiar face.
The gameplay trailer shows Far Cry New Dawn in alpha. This new section takes on a bright tone. The pink flowers on the hills are prominent in the game, which is the result of the nuclear explosion event in the previous game.
Although the game has flowers and bright colors, don’t forget this is still a Far Cry game. The gameplay trailer quickly moves into the combat scene: introducing the game’s gunfights and then some driving before Far Cry 5’s Pastor Jerome is released from the prison camp as a prisoner.
Unfortunately, although Pastor Jerome will appear in New Dawn, Ubisoft has confirmed Boomer the dog does not exist in this part. In this post-apocalyptic setting, Far Cry New Dawn will add many gameplay features to refresh the series. In addition to the leveling system for enemies and defense stations, New Dawn also adds closed-world adventures called Expedition, which allow players to earn rare loot, upgrade weapons and improve Prosperity.
Far Cry New Dawn releases on February 9, 2019 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
