Borderlands 3: The blockbuster is back, everything you need to know about the game

The first gameplay trailer of Borderlands 3 was shared at Pax EAST recently. We get to see a lot of new and old characters, new planets and billions of guns. Gearbox says it will announce more details on April 3, but for now we can learn a lot from this trailer.

Vault Hunter

From the image above, we know the new Vault Hunter of the game. Gearbox has yet to confirm the official names of the characters, so we will use names from unofficial sources.

We have one-eyed Zane; Cattle Siren with Magical Hands – Amara; animal training robot expert – Flak; and high-tech warrior – Moze. For the most part of the trailer, we only see them shoot guns, but there’s also a bit of information about the character’s special skills.

Like the old Sirens, Amara possesses mysterious powers, and we can see a lot of magic arms – this will probably be her main skill. Moze can summon machines, according to leaks, but we don’t see them in the trailer, while Zane can control a robot. Maybe Moze can summon robots for other players to use, or it’s just one of the new transports.

Meet

The trailer feels like a clip to celebrate the Borderlands brand. There are many familiar faces, including old Vault Hunters like Lilith, Maya, Brick, Mordecai and Zer0. Zer0 now accompanies Rhys from Tales from the Borderlands. We also have Tiny Tina (now no longer tiny but grown), Marcus, Ellie, Sir Hammerlock, Claptrap and some old enemies. In the trailer, Pitchford mentions that Moxxi is back and owns a cool bar.

Borderlands 2 has the presence of many characters from the first part, so part 3 will certainly be no exception.

Who is the new enemy in the game?

There are a lot of people, aliens and robots, but you want to know more details than that. We get to see the Calypso twins, the bosses of Borderlands 3.

We also see them standing next to Lilith as she tries in vain to crawl towards something. Lilith’s tattoo is gone – it seems her powers have been taken away. There are many Sirens appearing in the trailer, including Lilith with her tattoos. And surely these Sirens are related to these twins. The female boss seems to want to possess Lilith’s power.

Along with the twins are an army of ‘weird’, machines, mutants and monsters. Fire-breathing dinosaurs, heavily armored, and spider-like creatures turned around.

New faction

In the trailer’s background image, you’ll see a lot of detail about the Calypso twins and their purpose, like “Answer Calypso Call” on the signs above, or “Rupture Upon Us: Holy is the Mouth That Bleeds” .”, “Children of the Vault: Give Your Flesh, Take Your Guns.”

Travel the world

There are plenty of heavily armed buggy vehicles appearing in the trailer, but they’re not the only vehicles in Borderlands 3. We see Zane riding on a robot, while Moze briefly appears onscreen in one of the trailers. giant wheel. And we’re not just in Pandora. This time, you will be boarding a spaceship and exploring several other worlds.

Into space

Almost everything in the trailer takes place on Pandora, but this won’t be the only planet. We’ve been to Pandora’s moon before, but this time it will be new worlds.

Borderlands isn’t geared towards big cities, but we’ll get to visit at least one cutting-edge city.

This is also a great opportunity for us to learn about dark corporations, such as Atlas. Rhys got himself an Atlas certification to own the company in Tales from the Borderlands, and the character is in front of the Atlas logo in the teaser. Maybe we’ll see you again soon.

Too many guns

Borderlands 3 will have more than a billion guns, with lots of random and unexpected features. Most weapons are still a secret, but you can expect them to deal explosive and attribute damage. Surely the game will have ice guns and some other interesting toys.

Gearbox has been developing games for 5 years

At the end of the show, Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford said the studio had been developing Borderlands 3 for five years. This is a very long time!

Handsome Jack is definitely dead

Jack’s mask appears in the Borderlands 3 teaser trailer, but don’t expect him to appear in the game. “Handsome Jack is dead. You’re the one who killed him!” Randy Pitchford confirmed.
