Apex Legends: Ranking the power of Legends in Season 3

Season 3 of Apex Legends has begun and this is the biggest update since the game launched in early 2019. TIER WILL

Lifeline – Lifeline has been the most stable Legend since day one and nothing can stop players from choosing this character. She is the only legend that can heal the whole team and is still important in the current meta. Of course, the game still has more interesting and complicated options, but no one can play as a team like Lifeline.

Crypto – It’s not fair that World’s Edge was made for Crypto. The map now matches the character’s drone skill, giving it a distinct advantage. Crypto supports team play in the trend of gamers playing more actively. His skill set blends well with other top tiers like Bangalore, and his ultimate EMP is the quintessence of trap-using characters.

Bangalore – Bangalore is always a legend that deals a lot of damage and is loved by fans. Now, in season 3, she gets an additional buff. Small improvement doubled Rolling Thunder’s damage. Overall, this is just a small buff that doesn’t change the meta too much. But that means Bangalore will still be in the top tier for the foreseeable future.

TIER A

Wraith – Wraith used to be a very strong character, but has been nerfed a bit. Recently, her Dimensional Rift was changed, so that Wraith no longer places it if it falls before using it. Respawn is getting a lot of fan complaints about Wraith and the team wants to make changes.

Gibraltar – It’s surprising that this Legend is at such a high rank, but after a rough season 2, Gibraltar was buffed in Season 3. First, Dome Shield got a lot of buffs. Toss distance and cooldown have been improved, and players standing in Doom Shield using items heal 25% faster. The ultimate’s cooldown is also reduced and the throw distance increased by more than 30%. Although not in tier S, but Gibraltar is the most improved character at the beginning of this season 3.

Bloodhound – Bloodhound’s tactical gameplay is very diverse. This is another character that gets a big buff in this update. Eye of Allfather now tells you how many objects are marked. The extra movement speed from the ultiamte is also slightly increased, while the time to activate is reduced by 30%.

Tier RED

Wattson – Wattson is another diverse defensive character. Added in Season 2, she possesses a strange set of skills that allow her to guard the current area with her own defense. This play depends on the situation of the game and is effective in the late game, but Wattson is not a stable pick. Season 3 doesn’t change Wattson much, but with this new map, it will provide a new opportunity for players to learn and perhaps pick Wattson more often.

Octane – Octane is fast, self-healing and would be a great character if Apex Legends added a solo mode. But now Apex is just a team shooter game. When it comes to skills to help and combine with other Legends, Octane lacks what tier A and S characters shine the most.

Pathfinder – Pathfinder friendly robot has an interesting drag skill set, is a flexible character. Unfortunately, this legend is not the most reliable teammate. The character was slightly adjusted in season 3 but still in tier B.

Mirage – Mirage is an arrogant character with a unique skill set. However, at the present time of the meta, the ability to stealth and use decoy has been seen too much, making Mirage not as strong as before. When he first came out, Mirage was really strong, but over time, we learned all of his tricks.

OLD TIER

Caustic – Consistently ranked lowest of all Apex Legends characters. Caustic shows no signs of progressing this season. The slow, trap-dependent gameplay doesn’t work in the current meta, especially in the presence of Crypto. Bloodhound has a similar gameplay and is seen as effective, more popular.
