The International 2019 (TI9) is a major tournament of the game Dota 2, taking place in Shanghai, China, with a total prize value of nearly 27 million USD.

Dota 2 The International 2019 has a total of 18 participating teams. In which, 12 teams were invited and 6 teams passed the qualifying round. 6 qualifying areas are China, Southeast Asia North America, South America, CIS and Europe, each region has only 1 team participating.
The teams will play in a Bo2 circle format. The top 4 teams will go straight to the winning bracket, and the next 4 teams will fall into the losing bracket. The bottom team will be disqualified.
The group stage will take place from August 15 to August 18. And the official event (Main Event) will take place from August 20 to August 25. Please refer to the official schedule for the TI9 rounds in the following article:

- 8 teams passed the qualifying round: Forward Gaming, Infamous, Chaos Esports Club, Natus Vincere, Royal Never Give Up and Mineski.

Playoff Main Event Round Schedule
TI9’s Main Event will begin 2 days after the end of the group stage, from August 20 to August 25. The eight teams ranked 5th – 8th in the group stage will play the Bo1 knockout round in the first round of the lower bracket. The remaining matches will be on a Bo3 format until the final. Particularly the final will be held according to the Bo5 format.

- Round 1 Winning Branch (Bo3): Starting from 10:00 and 12:30.
- Round 1 Loss Branch (Bo1): Starting from 14:40, 16:30, 17:30 and 9:10.
August 21:
- Round 1 Winning Branch (Bo3): Starting from 9:00 and 12:00.

- Round 2 Loss Legs (Bo3): Starting from 9:00 and 12:00.
