55% of PUBG players own Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and now they play CS:GO less because of PUBG.
PlayerUnknown’s battlegrounds continues to be at the top of Steam’s charts, but not everyone is new to the shooter genre.
A lot of them who are playing PUBG are switching from other popular shooters on Steam to the ones they used to play before Battlegrounds came out. In this case: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
According to a survey from Steam Spy, 55% of Battlegrounds owners are also Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players. Furthermore, they used to play 50% more CS:GO than normal players before buying PUBG, but now their playtime has decreased by 30%.
What this means is that Battlegrounds is drawing a large consumer base from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and the same goes for H1Z1: King of the Kill, Payday 2, and Left 4 Dead., according to information from the website
