5. Los Santos (Grand Theft Auto)
Los Santos is one of the few cities that can put people in danger with little effort. Living in Los Santos is exhausting, not to mention the millions of dollars in property damage the city faces every hour, every day. Los Santos’ economy is nearly impossible to sustain itself in the face of constant theft and vandalism.

4. Rapture (BioShock)
Rapture from the BioShock series is an underwater city, built with the purpose of freeing its inhabitants from government domination. However, things did not go according to plan. Civil war broke out and a drug called ADAM drove the survivors insane. This is also the reason no one should set foot in Rapture. Creatures like Spider Slicer and Big Daddy force players to constantly fight to survive every day in this hellish city. In addition, the Little Sisters will haunt anyone who has ever looked into their empty eyes.

3. New York (in many games)
New York City is also a familiar victim of disasters from both games and movies. New York is regularly invaded, destroyed and becomes the frontline of aliens or a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Games like The Division, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Prototype all make clear just how gruesome it is to live in the game version of New York. The expensive cost of real-life New York City is only a small matter compared to what the game version can bring to its residents.

2. Raccoon (Resident Evil)
The Umbrella Corporation in Resident Evil did not think through when deciding to build a secret biological research facility beneath a densely populated city. Only one wrong decision made the whole city infected with the T-Virus, leading to a pandemic. Zombies, mutants, and giant spider-like monsters roam Raccoon City, destroying all other living things. In addition, residents here also face two “mobile” biological weapons, Mr. X and Nemesis.
