In the new update, Google Photos will randomly highlight photos you’ve taken a long time ago, helping you review your memories without having to waste time searching through hundreds of photos in your library.

Open Google Photos and select Assistant (Assistant) in the bottom menu bar.

In this section, the system will suggest to review your memories. For example, today you take a picture with your best friend. When entering Assisstant, part Rediscover your memories will automatically display a list of photos you have taken together in the past.

Recent highlights

If this old day feature brings back memories from the past, “Recent Highlights” reminds you of recent photos. The best photos of the month will be selected and recommended by the application for you in the section Assistant.
