30 minutes of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay revealed

As usual (though not intentionally), the information of Assassin’s Creed games is still exposed before Ubisoft’s intentions. This time, 30 minutes of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay was leaked on the Internet.

Tagged “work in progress” (in development) and uploaded in low resolution, the video shows the player controlling a female character (the female version of protagonist Eivor), and includes:

  • Open world (looks a lot like AC: Odyssey, but the color scheme is more like The Witcher 3)
  • Raven Sight (shares Wealth, Mystery and Secret stats in the area)
  • Gameplay Longboat
  • Siege battles (players use double axes, and also in this video, there are two skill boxes associated with each joystick, and can also use vehicles to break the gates)
  • The boss battle ends with the choice to spare or kill him
  • Skills menu (constellation: unlocks many branches, and includes points to increase basic skills or stats)
  • Inventory menu (similar to Origins and Odyssey, but no level required to carry equipment)
  • Button used to enter the game’s Animus, from the in-game menu
  • Health bar does not heal on its own (with the ability to eat berries from the in-game environment to heal)
  • Spartan Kick version, Oyssey’s strongest skill.

This Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay video still has many bugs, affecting the cutscenes, as well as general graphics errors.

Many videos have been taken down by Ubisoft since the gameplay was leaked. With Ubisoft Forward coming this weekend, it looks like we’ll get a better look at the gameplay.

Ubisoft has not yet commented on the source of the leaked video, or whether it reflects the current state of development of the game.
