During the Minecraft Live 2021 event, Mojang revealed that he will be releasing the Wild update, following Caves & Cliffs Part 2 and adding 3 new mobs. Here’s what you need to know about 3 new mobs in Minecraft: The Wild Update.
New Mobs in Minecraft
Frog
Frog will be the first amphibian mob in Minecraft, however, its swamp biome lost the vote in 2019. Therefore, the release of this biome has been delayed until 2022. This will be counted. The main feature of The Wild Update, along with mangroves, frogs, fireflies, mud blocks, mud bricks…
Frogs will have 3 different variations, mainly divided by temperature: default, tropical and snowy. They often appear in swamps, jumping on large dripping leaves. Each frog species will have different uses in Minecraft.
Snow frogs are certainly the strangest, as cold-blooded animals like them usually hibernate. The tadpole will be added as a sub-variant of the frog. Fireflies, part of the swamp biome, will be a food source for the frogs.
Allay
Allay comes out on top in the Minecraft 2021 mob poll. Allay is not based on any real-life animals. It is a flying mob that collects items for the player. Thanks to Allay, the process is simpler than ever.
Warden
Warden will be the main enemy in the deepest areas of the magical blocky world. Chances are Warden is not a popular mob. It will be a boss level enemy with 500 hearts. If so, Warden will replace Ender Dragon, Wither and become the most dangerous mob in Minecraft.
