20. “Dishonored 2”

“Dishonored” is a perfect mix of action and stealth elements, allowing players to carry out missions in any way they choose. The combination of gadgets and supernatural abilities you use in those missions is entirely your choice. And this is happening in a beautiful steampunk setting.

In “Dishonored 2” you can choose to play as the original game’s protagonist (Corvo) or the adult Emily from the first game, who has her own unique abilities. If you like stealth, strategy games with lots of characters, this is the right game for you.

19. “Prey”

“Prey” is a first-person action game where you explore a lonely, beautiful world that is falling apart. It’s filled with story clues, unique characters, and things that want to kill you. It feels like “BioShock”, but is in space (which I would say is a compliment).

This game world is based on the concept that President John F. Kennedy survived his assassination attempt and dramatically stepped up efforts to send people into space. An alien force, known as the Typhon, sees humans as a threat and attacks. The United States and the Soviet Union join forces to fight the threat, defeat it, and build a space station to house and study aliens. But something went wrong on that space station and you’ll have to deal with it.

18. “Person 5”

Enthusiasts of the “Persona” series of role-playing games don’t say “Persona 5” is the best part of the series. Instead, fans are calling Persona 5 a powerful new installment in a beloved series. It’s not without its flaws, but there’s a lot to be commended.

Just like the previous games in the series, the story of “Persona 5” focuses on a Japanese teenager. Just like previous installments in the series, there’s a lot more to the “Persona 5” story than what’s on the surface. You will explore the limits of everyday high school life, making friends and completing different jobs. When night comes, you’ll start fighting your friends in a turn-based RPG format.

If you’ve enjoyed the “Final Fantasy” series or have a particular taste for quirky, simulation games then you’ll want to keep an eye out for “Persona 5.”

17. “Injustice 2”

There’s something fun about punching Batman in the face, and “Injustice 2” is ready to make that happen for you. As the title suggests, “Injustice 2” is the second game in the “injustice” series – a fighting game similar to “Mortal Kombat” featuring DC Comics heroes and villains. The comparison isn’t too harsh, as “Injustice 2” comes from the same NetherRealm company in Chicago.

When you get tired of fighting Batman, you can switch to fighting real players online (where Bats will inevitably get punched back).

After more than a decade of development, “Nioh” a fast-paced, third-person action game available only on PlayStation 4 has finally been released this year.

In “Nioh,” you are a samurai struggling in an endless battle to defeat a monster in a fictional period of Japanese history (think of the 1600s). Like the “Souls” series, “Nioh” requires practice and close attention if you want to survive (let alone progress). It’s the kind of game a perfectionist loves, built to reward player mastery and to punish anything in the most brutal way.

15. “Uncharted 4: A Theft’s End”

With a plot drawn from years of work by Sony’s Naughty Dog studio, “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” is a great game. You will play from the perspective of the character Nathan Drake, the long-running protagonist of the “Uncharted” series.

It’s basically an upgraded video game version of Indiana Jones, where you run around the world avoiding bad guys and stealing long-hidden treasures. The “Uncharted” series is the crown jewel of Sony’s PlayStation series for a good reason: or leave it all out.

14. “NieR: Automata”

We call “NieR: Automata” a strange game that greatly reduces its weirdness. It has multiple endings for you to play over and over again and is a rare open world game developed by Japanese game makers.

This is not a simple action game. Instead, it’s a combination of RPG elements with action gameplay. Forgive me if the description is lacking in detail: Too much description of “NieR: Automata” will ruin it.

13. “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt”

Although released more than two years ago, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt”, the epic third-person action game is back and more impressive than ever in 2017.

That’s because “The Witcher 3” is a great game that has a larger scale with sidequests storytelling than most games do with their main storyline. If you’re looking for a game where you can immerse yourself in dozens, or hundreds, of hours of a game this year, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is a great name to do it.

12. “Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus”

“Wolfenstein 2: New Colossus” is a game that offers us an alternate history where Germany won World War II, took control of Europe, and took over the United States. It’s set in the ’60s, and you’re responsible for causing an uprising in America – at least that’s the premise for “Wolfenstein 2.” This game will make you spend more time exploring about society than leveling up your weapons.

While “Wolfenstein 2” will make you itch instead of playing FPS aggressively, it’s a brain sad game let alone boring. Besides, it was just dark jokes at the expense of the Nazis. However, “Wolfenstein 2” did a few things like few other titles: It gave us a variety of emotional experiences, like the world’s greatest art.

11. “Assassin’s Creed Origins”

“Origins” focuses primarily on assassination and stealth, as the game is meant to be.

Over the past decade, “Assassin’s Creed” has gone in many different directions such as directly participating in the American Revolution – running around historic battlefields – or participating in the war by ship, and That’s proof that this series has improved a lot from its original.

With “Origins,” despite a lot of meaningful changes, it feels like the best “Assassin’s Creed” game in years.
