Speaking of horror games, 2019 has been one of the strongest years for the genre in recent times. This year 2019 includes many high-quality indie horror titles, as well as several AAA products.
The best horror games of 2019 range from virtual reality to traditional survival horror games. Each name on this list is sure to please you.

Before A Plague Tale: Innocence, Asobo Studio mainly developed copyrighted games based on Pixar movies. A Plague Tale shows that Asobo has a lot of ideas of his own, especially horror fans. A Plague Tale is a stealthy horror game where the player must avoid soldiers and swarms of infected rats. The player assumes the role of Amicia de Rune during the game, but you’ll also take control of your younger brother Hugo later on, who has a mysterious ability that allows him to control the mouse. A Plague Tale: Innocence was praised for its storytelling and was nominated for Best Narrative at The Game Awards 2019.
A Plague Tale: Innocence is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
BLAIR WITCH ONLY
One of the biggest surprises at E3 2019 during Microsoft’s press conference was the appearance of Blair Witch. This is a game based on the horror movie series of the same name. Developed by the famous horror studio Bloober Team, Blair Witch lets you explore the scary forests in the movie, to find the lost boy with the help of his loyal dog Bullet. Bullet’s presence relieves the tension a bit, but the dog cannot protect the player from the scares, bizarre creatures, or the shivers that plague the game. The game captures the pace of Blair Witch movies perfectly. Despite some complaints about the decisions being made into the game, Blair Witch is still one of the scariest games of the year.
DEVOTION
Taiwanese studio Red Candle Games launched the first-person horror game Devotion on PC earlier this year. The game quickly appreciated and compared to games like Hideo Kojima’s PT. But like PT, Devotion has been removed from online stores, making it quite difficult to play the game mainstream. LAYERS OF FEAR 2
Bloober Team asserts itself as the horror game studio with the first Layers of Fear, but 2019 has only made the studio one of the horror leaders in the gaming industry. Bloober Team not only released Blair Witch in 2019, they also released Layers of Fear 2, continuing the first-person horror style of its predecessor. Layers of Fear 2 may not be for everyone, but the scary element in the game is undeniable. It will make the hairs on the back of many players stand on end from start to finish. Let’s wait and see if Bloober Team can perfect this recipe with the third part.

THE DARK PICTURES: MAN OF MEDAN
Supermassive Games surprises horror fans with the player-selected narrative game, Until Dawn. It became one of the commendable horror games of the past decade. WORSE CHANNEL DEATH
Worse Then Death is a short game, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good. Like many horror games, protagonist Holly is encouraged to avoid these monsters at all costs. Meanwhile, Holly must solve puzzles and uncover the mysteries behind.
